Founded by Arthur Rocha Chrysostomo, the practice was established with a clear ambition: to bridge world-class design, advanced technology and construction intelligence into a multidisciplinary studio capable of delivering projects across continents while respecting the unique identity of every place.
Arthur's professional vision has been shaped by an international academic journey. His education includes architectural studies at the Universidad de la República (UDELAR), followed by a Master's degree at the University of Toronto, complemented by advanced specialization in management, strategic planning and business leadership. This combination of architecture, technology and management defines the multidisciplinary approach that characterizes Poulpe Studio today.

The studio represents the continuation of a family legacy deeply connected to the history of architectural education in Brazil.
Arthur Rocha Chrysostomo is the great-grandson of Professor Ney Chrysostomo da Costa, an architect, engineer, educator and academic leader whose work became part of the institutional history of the Faculty of Architecture at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
Professor Ney Chrysostomo da Costa actively contributed to the consolidation of architectural education during a transformative period in Brazil, participating in the development of architecture as an autonomous academic discipline and later serving as Director of the Faculty of Architecture during one of its most significant periods of institutional growth.
Historical records—including commemorative plaques preserved at the Faculty and photographs documenting the inauguration of its permanent headquarters in 1957 in the presence of the President of Brazil, Juscelino Kubitschek—attest to his leadership and contribution during this defining moment in the history of architectural education.
